| History |
On Admiralty service 9/1939 to 12/1945 as auxiliary patrol vessel FY1884. With fleet-mate LORD COLLINGWOOD rescued 315 troops from Dunkirk landing at Ramsgate on 30 May 1940. Sold in 1943 to St. Andrews Steam Fishing Co., Hull, in 1946 to Llewellyn (Trawlers) Ltd., Milford Haven and in 1947 to W.H.Kerr (Ship Chandlers), Lowestoft, converted to a motor trawler in 1957. Sold in 1971 to Keighley Enterprises, Lowestoft and converted to a standby safety vessel. Left Lowestoft on 19/3/1975 after sale to Greek owners, said to be converted to a refrigerated stern trawler or a dry cargo ship. |
